“I was drawn in to their world by the rugged and friendly people. At each turn I was greeted with smiling open faces and deeply hospitable gestures. Their homes were thrown open to me and people far in the distance waved as I passed by. Nowhere did I feel a stranger and nowhere did I come across a stranger”.


Jerry has worked for many International humanitarian aid organizations including the International Federation of Red Cross, World Vision and Oxfam. During his twenty-year photographic career, his intuitive and emotive approach has been invaluable in portraying sensitive issues such as child slave labor, HIV and the aftermath of personal disasters.
 
Jerry has a degree in Photojournalism and first class honors in Documentary Photography from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Australia. As part of his commitment to give back to his industry, he regularly lectures photography to university students.
